Japan Pilgrimage I Day 3 - Guest Blogged by 浪迹天涯小狗
Peekaboo!
Mistress and gang slept in till 9.30am since it's a rest and relax shopping day. No point waking up early. They made their way to Harajuku intending to watch the cosplayers in action, who normally gather ard till 12pm.
Harajuku station
A corner street of Harajuku. A quiet side of Japan's hot shopping area.
The busy part.
Yoshinoya meal.
Lolito
Attires like this are quite a common sight in Harajuku area.
Very disappointed. Din see any sword carrying shinigamis around. All we saw were punkish looking people. (We were only informed afterwards that they normally gather ard the shrine area. ARGH!! If only we continued walking to the shrine. Haiz. Wasted! Go again Go again!)
Headed to Akihabara next. The famed electrical town (as well as Otaku town).
JR Train
1st thing I noticed. N RR this is for u!
The 5 lane asphalt roads are for people to walk on!! Probably they close the roads on Sundays. But... wow!
Pre-ordering system. These are located outside the shop.
Mistress ventured into one of the buildings after being tempted by mangas on the ground floor. In Japan, its normally specialised buildings, not shops. The whole building sells the same category of products, if you get what I mean.
She found some notebooks being placed in a corner near the dark elevator area, complete with writing and drawing materials.
This is one of the pages.
Probably one of the channels where otakus display their talents and hope some publisher would contact them. But wow!~ Real nice!
Mistress got separated with her gang for quite a while. So she walked Akihabara on her own. On her own = dangerous. Dangerous not in terms of safety. Its in financial sense. She bought a card reader, a 2gb sd card, a 2 gb cf card, an Ipod a/c charger, a few mags, some phone charms, etc etc. All in a little more than an hour.
Horrible!! *Swipe Swipe Swipe*
Cant find much figurines that she collects in Akihabara. No Gundams in sight also. Maybe hidden in some corner of the building again.
So Akihabara, is not that interesting. Unless u're into electronics, or u can read Japanese manga.
Ok thats it for Day 3. Not much photos.
